Dr. Bhakta grew up in Southern California. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree and then headed to the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. While in training, she served as a volunteer for a dental mission in Tijuana, Mexico, and participated in externships at the VA hospital and Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. Since graduating in 2006, she has been practicing in the Corona community.         

She is devoted to building relationships with her patients through promoting oral health awareness. To keep up with current techniques and procedures, she regularly attends continuing education  courses. Her dental memberships include The American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Society.
